¶ History:From the halls of Requena House Graisti has ruled from the first weeks of the First Bellringer Crusade. They were the first among equals of the three noble lines that joined the crusade (Graisti, Covinggard & Rivers). Knowing that they only had months before the Enisen Kings would march on them, they build strong defenses in the rough territory of the Semole Mountains. The other great houses did not want to be stuck with their backs to the sea, and marched beyond these defenses. Little did they know it was the tactic of the Enisen Kings to stretch out the lines. 3 days after the troops reached the plains of Clay Cross, House Oquil's griffon riders struck. Slaughtering men as each charge was called. The Bellringer crusaders were experienced warriors, but knew when they had lost the day. They retreated back losing people each day until they came to the newly fortified walls of Bellwall. House Graisti's patience had saved the Bellringer Crusade]. House Oquil's Griffons were laid low by the ballistas flinging ball and chain. With 3 days of siege the attackers where so weakened they were on the retreat. House Covinggard and House Rivers tended to their wounded. While House Graisti built traps and defenses throughout the mountains. The Enisen Kings reorganized but it was too late the Bellringers where here and would not be pushed back. As the other houses moved north, it was decided because of the aid given, the first of the land grants would be awarded to House Graisti. With the rising of House Sedi, the House Graisti left their forts and marched south taking the lands that currently is held by Bellkind. With the different terrain and a different time they did not build the infrastructure that they had in the Semole Mountains. It took them many years to realise their mistake, in R.E. 19 the Imperial Navy was sunk by Mikado Troops, as they landed on the southern cost, at Bedford. The Mikado armies pushed thought he soft underbelly of Graisti's domain, finally being stopped by the Knights of Mildenhall. They could not advance but the Mikado could not either. Emperor Yanick River calls on any leader in the country to push them back, and Enzo Bellkind rises from the priesthood. While Bellkind troops are given House Graisti land with each success, House Graisti have never held any ill will towards House Bellkind. Two sides of a coin, a mountain and a bell. House Graisti domains are very cultured, and while their troops and knights are extremely well trained, the natural defenses have given them little time to have any real combat.
