The old lore of the Esten people who ruled in the lands of water and earth, before the coming of the Bellringers and the crusade that brought down the Esten kings. While bellringers call it the first great crusade, Esten call it the fall of the great kings.
¶ Oquil (Shadow)
Oqil held the seat, of first among Equals the high king of the Esten people. They held the powers of light and dark, the ability to change one thing in to another. After the purge a majority of their members formed as a banner house called House Rhelrya. With a minority joining House Liris. They are believed to be the people who finally beat the Angalaglassi during the war of glass.
¶ Minimar (Stone)
Minimar was the first of the Esten Kings to fall, even before the rise of House Sedi they fell as the first troops invaded. They were considered to be the House of Stone.
¶ Benoman (Water)
Benomen held the the bitter end, while they lost land they fell back on House Oquil's domain. They were known as the House of Water. They reformed in their shame of failure as House Thalorin
¶ Talmert (Wood)
The only surviving house of the Esten kings, they made a deal with Ethan Sedi, to not fight in exchange they would not be attacked later in the war, the way this was sealed was Ethan's son and heir would be held hostage for the duration of the crusade. The Talmert people were known as the House of Wood.
¶ Thaphicarea (Fire)
One of the Esten Kings that left during the invasion of Ethan Sedi, they fled to the Mikado Empire.
¶ Lulumia (Light)
One of the Esten Kings that left during the invasion of Ethan Sedi, they fled to the Mikado Empire.
¶ Angalaglassi (Obsidian)
The first High Kings of the Esten People, they fell to dark magics and were exiled. They originally ruled from the jungles of the domain now owned by the Almern.
